1975 Honda XL175 (Score: +1)

Rider
6.0' / 170 lbs / Intermediate

Power:

About what you'd expect from a 1974 175cc.
Bottom end is weak
Mid end is alright
Top end is fair

Ergonomics:

Layout is dated. Easy to get used to, but can be challenging at times when you're off road.

Suspension, Front:

Too soft for off road.
Perfect for road driving.

Suspension, Rear:

Too soft for off road.
Too hard for road driving

Handling:

It's a bit top heavy.
It tends to make you slow right down for turns.

Brakes:

Fair brakes. My old 1981 Honda XR100 had better.

Comments:

Overall, its a good starter bike, but thats it.
I wouldn't recommend it as a daily commuter.

Power:

umm,? has no bottom end,no mid,and no top, good for 5 yr. olds.

Suspension:

well, with me on it.[ 220 pds.] its always bottomed out so,if your 50 pds. it'd be good.

Handling:

the best in the world but you gotta watch out cause something on the triple clamps slip and the h-bars get out of adjustment.

Brakes:

very good for drums will get you stopped with NO effort.

Comments:

good bike for beginners

Power:

not a lot but was good for trails It has great low end no hit but was good

Suspension:

rear was hard but was OK fork was good could not bottom front or back

Handling:

handled well on pavment but the stock tires do nothing in mud . swap them for some nobbies and it turned awsom.

Brakes:

verry good for drums and it will stop on a dime every time

Comments:

I would recomend swaping the stock rear(38) sprocket for a 45 or hirer for off road use. great reliable bike
