Big track is less begginner freindly. 2 back-back doubles if you roll one you can't jump the next. A little dusty in the old whoop section. Blind table top before the whoops.

Track was great, very safe and also challenging. The new ownership is very involved in making this a great place. Kudos to John and crew. The track has not been worked since last weekend and it was awesome.
No major ruts, just a little dusty when you get more than 10 bikes going but I will be back many more times - John this is a "Great Place to Ride" See you next time.

Good to see someone starting to fix up the track again.
If anyone wants to ride during the week post it or shoot me an email: msjones360@hotmail.com They said they'll open if we can get 5-7 riders out there.

Hard packed and blown out in random spots through out track.Unpredictable defaced jumps throw you twenty thirty feet over or no where close to clearing. It would be best for a parent to keep kids away from the dusty track and shady people that, sad to say, own the place.

The people who run it just sit back and collect your money. They dont actual plow and till the track. It had to have been months since they did anything beside put some water on a couple of random spots.

Nothing good to say here except that the track is for sale and someone with good moto intentions should buy it and run it right. Its in a great location with tons of development around it. Around gwinnett which is a trackless community besides a couple of private practice tracks.

The owners but mostly their kid(s)? need to have their mouths taped shut. Screaming F-bombs and GD to each other across the pits and on the track. If their kids are there, don't take yours unless you allow them to be around extremely foul language and smart mouths.

This track has continued to deteriorate in the past few times I've been out. There has been no grooming and little to no watering. As a result, the track is incredibly dusty, there are all sorts of things protruding through the dirt and the jump faces can be pretty tricky.
Definitely a bummer because this track is so close to Atlanta. The track was in great shape last fall, but I won't be back until I hear that the condition of the track has improved.

It was dusty!! I stayed away from other people and it wasn't so bad. Some of the corners were just piles of brown flour. The jump faces were in OK condition and rocks were normal for monroe.

Well first of all they changed direction so it's going clockwise now.
Most of the track was plowed and kinda watered (there was a little dust but not much). A section near the exit was like riding on concrete, but it was only 100 feet long or so.
They had the back section closed off (the part next to the road) while they were working on it.
The finish line jump is awkward if you can't clear the whole thing. I jumped half way and my bike bottomed out, so I rolled it the rest of the day. I wish they would make a second landing ramp in the middle.
The rest of the jumps were lots of fun and safe for slowpokes. :o)

They rasied the riding fee to $20 and $5 membership. The track is not rider friendly at all. Take the trip to DP or Bremen or Aoina.

The good news is knowing that 6 months later it has not improved but the fee went up. Knowing this, i will not return anytime soon.

This track is centrally located but the conditions and the fees ruin it for the recreational rider. You'd better get Aflac if plan to jump some of those jumps.

Nothing really caught my eye. I was mostly concerned with keeping out of the faster guys' way. Only complaint I can come up with is vaguely related to the track - my bike weighs in at just under a ton, so jumping was out of the question except for the few small doubles on the back side.
|

The track is wide enough for two or three people in any given spot, leaving plenty of room for faster traffic to pass.
Soil was in pretty good shape. Some parts were very loamy, almost muddy. Other parts were a little on the dusty side. Nothing to complain about either way.
|
|

Parking area was surprisingly full when I arrived late in the afternoon. The track had a little trash on it (the usual for Monroe) but nowhere near as much as I'm used to seeing.

GREAT DAY OF RACING AT MONROE MX!
Despite the rain in metro Atlanta on Friday night and into the early hours Saturday morning, the owners of Monroe MX had the track prepped and ready for a great day of MX racing on Saturday!
Riders from all over Georgia and neighboring states showed up for the 2005 season opener and put on a great show. The track was groomed very well and made for fast and very competitive racing.
My 8-year old son Justin had a great day of racing as a beginner finishing 5th in 65cc Beginner and 7th in the Jr. Cycle classes on his 2005 Kawasaki KX65.
I ran my 2005 Honda CRF450 in the 250cc Beginner Class and finished both moto's in 3rd place for an overall finish of 3rd for the day.
My thanks go out to the new owners of Monroe MX, Rubin and Brad, for their may hours of hard work and their tireless effort in bringing back a quality MX Track to metro Atlanta.
If you were not able to make it out to Monroe MX this past Saturday, be sure to mark your calendar for Monroe MX's next racing event to be held on Saturday, January 22, 2005.

Rubin and Brad go the extra mile to help all riders at Monroe MX. If you have a problem with your bike, they are the first ones to offer assistance in making "on-track" repairs. They are all about each rider having a great experience at Monroe MX and this is just one of the many qualities of this track.
CONVENIENCE! This is truly a metro Atlanta track in a great location and easy to find. It's a short 20 minute drive from my home in Lawrenceville.
