Practice and race facility.
"The dirt [has] lots of saw dust and good ole' Georgia clay with a mixture of sand added to make for a good racing surface, excellent bermed turns, plowed and tilled straights, some small and some long jumps.
The facility hare at Calhoun has been changed a lot as well. The track will be more rider friendly and made to accommodate more riders on the larger mx style layout with some very interesting jumps, tabletops, etc... The start will be much longer with a large sweeping left turn at the end for more high speed but safe starts.
Calhoun will be making changes throughout the year to make it more challenging and to keep our riders from being bored with the same old stuff every weekend. Our new air station will be installed at Calhoun for all of those who will need air.
For all of those folks that haven't been to Calhoun Motorsports, we have a large grandstand, a great concession stand and three bike washes for your convenience.
The lighting here at Calhoun is none other than the best in the south and they will be getting even better, with more lighting going in in the month of May. We also hope by this season's racing that we have gotten our restrooms in place and functional. "

Located in Gordon county approximately 45 miles north of Atlanta.
Travel time from Atlanta is 35-40 minutes if you are a speed demon or 45-50 min if you are one of the few that actually does the speed limit.
Coming from Atlanta: Take I-75 north to Exit #312. Turn left at the exit on to Hwy 53, continue on Hwy 53 until you pass the Wal-Mart super center. After passing Wal-Mart you will continue under one more traffic light. Make sure you are in the right lane because McDaniel Station road is the next road following the light. (you will see a pond on the corner) Turn right on McDaniel Station road and continue until it ends (approx 1 mile) as soon as you get to the end of McDaniel Station road, take a right and then an immediate left onto Beamer road (you will see the CalhounSx sign). The track will be on the right approx 1/8 of a mile. We are across the street from Coosa Valley Tech.
Approximate travel time from Interstate 75 to CalhounSx is 5 minutes unless you get behind someone that is slow, then it will be around 10 minutes.
