Track/Trail Description |
|
Suitable For: Motorcycles, ATV's, and vehicles with less than 48" axle width. This trail is near Lake Burton and Lake Rabun. It is not a loop trail so traffic is two way. Some sections are steep (35% grade) and rocky. There are also many blind curves on the trail. Under age riders, who do not have a State driver's license should be accompanied by a legally licensed driver.
Scope: 6.2 miles of trails. |

DIRECTIONS - NORTH PARKING LOT: From Clayton, go west on Highway 76 for 6.8 miles. Turn left on Charlie Mountain Road until it dead ends. Turn right on the Bridge Creek Road for 2 miles until it dead ends at Lake Burton Dam Road. Turn right for 1.6 miles to entrance road on left.
SOUTH PARKING LOT: From Clayton, go west on Highway 76 for 6.8 miles and turn left on Charlie Mountain Road until it dead ends. Turn right on the Bridge Creek Road for 2 miles until it dead ends at Lake Burton Dam Road. Turn left for 4.4 miles to the Flat Creek Road, turn right for 2.1 miles until the pavement ends. Continue on the gravel road for about 40 feet to the paved entrance road on the right
