Track/Trail Feedback
Track sucked, wore down tire, all silt, terrible, trails wre better, but it looked like someone had taken an atv when it was muddy, and just tore it up, there was nowhere on the main trail where it wasn't rutted out really badly.

you can go wide open on the trails.
Extras
parking lot was mainly open, but take a cover especially during the summer, there's not much shade

The trails this time was excellent, other than following the ATV's (they kick up allot of dust)

Anything that says "no rentals" has allot of mud, and you should probably watch out for the mud wholes. Just like the last guy, it swallowed my dirt bike, but I did not let it get me down, and I still road all of the trails.
Most Favorite
Everything was well kept, the trails were not badly rutted. The whole ride we took, there was not a ton of people passing us, and the trails where mostly one way, witch was good.
Extras
Everything was free of trash, the staff was very helpful. They stayed up late to wait to tell us where we needed to go to camp, and they did not seem to mind it at all.

A unsuspecting mud hole swallowed my 250 whole...
very muddy...not to many trails for bikes
Most Favorite
Nice loop trail for mx or atv...stayed on this for most of the day.
Extras
Very clean area...showers were broken...pressure washer was a high pressure nossel on a water hose. Very good food and fair prices. Over all had a very good time...I like it about much as Durham town...not nearly good as highland park

When it is wet, watch out. Well kept, went in wenter, so mud was expected. If you had a four wheeler, it would have been fun. But I had a dirtbike and sliped. broke my clutch.
Least Favorite
the mud during the rain
Most Favorite
One way trails. Do not have to worry about people comming at you. Place for you to wash off after you get back from the mud.
Extras
DO NOT GO ON GIRLY MEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE 4 WHELS. Staff was helpfull. Building looked new. well kept. Place for you to wash off after you get back from the mud.

Trails were wide, especially the outer loop. Pee wee track was alot of fun for my 5 year old. Lots of people camping but never ran into any of them on the trails.
Least Favorite
Dust and lots of it...no rain is not their fault. Would be really nice after a light rain. No easy access to the river. The tubing section was not open yet. We were told when they get the 17 adjoining acres open they will have the tubing and easy river access.
Most Favorite
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The wide trails and a good area to view the MX track and races.
Extras
Very clean ladies room. We camped in a RV and did not see any trash in any of the areas we rode.

The tracks and trails were great. Expecially the pee wee and intermediate tracks for my 7 and 10 year olds. There were trails that my 7 year old had no problems with.

Two families at Broad RiverPosted 02/23/2007

Wet & muddy. It rained a lot the day before we were there. Even so, the trails were great. A nice, wide, long loop with many off shoots to check out. Also, a great 3.2 mile long MX track that was challenging yet do-able for the average rider. Later in the day the trails and track were drying up and you could see that the next couple of days were going to be supreme conditions.
Least Favorite
There isn't a cut thru trail for a quick return back to camp.

Very friendly staff. The woman I spoke with on the phone before we drove out there was wonderful and answered all of my 'dumb' questions. JT was very helpful getting us signed in and steering us in the right direction. We spoke with John after our lunch and he told us even more places to check out and gave us a lot of good information regarding Broad River. The trails, the tracks, take your pick because Broad River has it all.
Extras
The bathrooms, including the Port A John were clean. The cabins are fantastic. An extremely nice staff of people running the place. A beautiful place to ride with the family. We will definately be returning to ride Broad River.

Love the dirt. Good traction. Not hard as a brick like some tracks.
Least Favorite
Need more water pressure in the bike wash. I hear that is being addressed.

About 35 minutes from Athens off Hwy 77. Close to Lexington and Elberton in northeast GA.

My first time up there today. Training a kid. The track is quite entertaining. Some challenging jumps that are do-able. But not just an "easy" little track that any old Tom, D i c k, Harry will jump every single thing on the first lap. Very entertaining.

Great soil surface. Good traction without shreding your knobbies off like some "concrete" tracks have.

Some rutted corners you can really lay into and rip the snot out of the throttle. Wide lanes to work with. Regular track prep.

Fun, yet challenging step-ups, doubles, triples, tables, step-downs, whoops, off-cambers, blind jumps, high-speed, low-speed, you name it.

Spectator viewing is really cool because the parking area is WAYYYY up at the top of the hill so you can see all of the track down below.

If you like good MX tracks that have a challenge, yet, most jumps are do-able by many riders, you will really like this place.

Nice facility as well. Cabins, rentals, RV hookups, memberships available, bike wash (could use some pep in the water pressure, coming soon I was told). Lots and lots of trails for all levels.

I will be back there very soon.

The Best Place To Ride!!!Posted 09/22/2006

Track/Trail Feedback
The past two times we have been there, it was either really dry, or semi-wet. Either way, trails and tracks were great. Definitely the best mix of easy to moderate trails I've ever experienced. Tracks, same way. Great to learn, or experience for us older riders. My family, which is two males, and 5 females (ages 12 months to 45 years old), found the places they liked the most, and absolutely loved it.
Least Favorite
Nothing...absolutely nothing. Other than weather which they have nothing to do with.
Most Favorite
The staff!!! They are the most friendly helpful staff you will ever find anywhere.
Extras
Perfect. Even with a bunch of gear heads around, everything about the place was great!
