Without turning the site into a gun forum, would it worth while to make 1 section within the GENERAL caterogy for *Guns*? Could post all the "Wanna get my wife a gun', "where's the best price for this or that', 'who's carrying what piece', etc....
Who would like to see this?
ADMIN?
Afterall this is GA and AL, so i'm sure most of the shooting is OFFROAD and maybe even from offroad vehicles.

I like the idea to, but it really doesn't fit into any of the forum sections for GOR or subforums....
will be interesting to hear others input, but I bet it won't happen since it doesn't have anything to do with motorcycles and would take GOR in a direction different then what it was initially about (motorcycles n dirt)....well at least until that drive by shooting range opens at HP?!
anyways can still use the General forum for it....no one seems to have troubles finding the posts and responding.

I would love to figure out what gun is good for d/s ridin' ...the laws ,where to put on bike durability/safety for vibrating 2 stroke ...
info on what's the best GEAR for shooting? ..
I am often stuck in first and second!
...see i need shooting tips as well any good Orange guns?
at least maybe Austrian? etc
I think with as many folks on her that have them in their trucks when haulin' bikes it might be appropriate!! just look and see how many views/replies the gun questions always get...

Just my 2c and not a mod talking . . . .
Once in a while we get off topic with guns. They are great stress relievers, a great hobby all by itself, and has the double edged portion of protecting home & family (and the workshop, of course), *BUT* my personal opinion is that GOR is about burning petrol on dirt, not gunpowder into dirt (backstop for most targets). We violated these strategies when we started an ATV forum, then supermoto and street forums, but they all directly involved dirt or a motorcycle.
I also don't want a lookup table for the Feds when they come confiscating. My guns are my business and I don't need anyone messin with them. Walk softly, carry a big stick and all that.
Perhaps what might work is an Off-Topic forum. That could cover everything non-dirt riding. Of course, it could get more popular than General . . . . .

Despite what ya hear, I bet you would see them taking away your dirtbike before your gun

MOLON LABE my Dirt Bike! Even as pro 2A as I am I'd say no gun section needed. I do think the OT idea is a good one though. Kind of a catch all to that stuff like minded off-roaders are into.

Good point.
Kinda like letting us have guns but drying up the ammo supplies. We can buy all the bikes we want but they are shutting down our riding areas. Remember back in the 80's when we could ride places like GA120 in Duluth, Indian Trail in Norcross, Cooper Lake in Smyrna, Little Stone Mountain in Lithonia and so on? Think I'm gonna be sick now
Thank God (literally) we have businessmen like Mike Commons and Paul Wright (and several others whose names I don't know). Without them we'd be on the couch drinking beer watching football.
Getting a little off topic . . . . sorry
